the context

Tactica Interactive is an app development agency that over the past 5 years has begun collaborating with medical researchers across Canada to develop digital health interventions. Their outbound efforts revolve around email campaigns targeting medical doctors conducting research in relevant fields. 

Through grant funding, they develop digital applications and games to undergo scientific validation as part of the researcher’s study. They wanted to expand their outbound efforts into the United States for the first time and brought me on to help launch and manage that campaign.

The IDEA

Scale Tactica's outbound email campaign into the US market and integrate a system of continuous improvement for their outbound marketing. Leverage automation, personalization, and outsourcing to scale that system to produce unprecedented results.

1 - Targeting

  • Successfully pulled and filtered lists of health researchers conducting relevant research that could be translated into digital applications.

  • Implemented a system of review and improvement to continually improve targeting and list building.

  • Implemented a system of cleaning and sorting list to maximize email deliverability and relevance.

  • Followed all best practices in accordance to United States CAN_SPAM legislation.

2 - Personalizing

  • Created high-performing personalized copy with 60% open rates. Leveraging automated personalization, and recommendations from copy-writing experts.

  • Leveraged the newest features in Hubspot to automate and personalize emails.

  • Optimized a system of personalized automation and manual to customization to increase conversions.

3 - Scaling

  • Effectively sourced and utilized outsourcing to efficiently accomplish repetitive tasks. This increased scale and efficiency while decreasing costs.

  • Automated the scheduling of virtual meetings to be significantly more efficient for our internal team and provide leads with more options. This increased the ease of scheduling meetings for interested prospects and decreasing time spent scheduling meetings.
